We celebrate diversity, inclusiveness, joy and happiness featuring real weddings, styled shoots, engagements, trends, wedding related events, etc. Showcasing ourselves as the publication for the badass bride, we aim to inspire our Moxie Brides to embrace and bring to life their ideal wedding theme and aesthetic. EDITORIAL TONE & VOICE
Moxie Brides is a laid back publication, so we’re down to earth and slightly informal. Our editor in chief is sassy and tends to drop f bombs once in awhile out of excitement or throwing shade, so it’s okay to include a few cuss words to describe a wedding, styled shoot, etc. that was mind blowing to you. Our voice is similar to how you chat with your good friends. Please inject as much as your personality, personal values, and thoughts into your submission.
WHAT WE LOVE
We love quirky, nerdy, goth, alternative, dark and moody, bold and colorful, LGBT, multicultural, and out of the norm weddings, styled shoots, and other content related to what represents Moxie Brides. We aim to feature couples of all shapes, sizes, sexual orientation, and race because DIVERSITY matters to us. Plus society’s definition of diversity is a watered down version of what it really is and we don’t want that featured on our site (that’s the nicest way we can put it without cursing). We want to make sure couples can relate to the content featured on our website.
WHAT WE FEATURE
Moxie Brides is interested in receiving submissions on a variety of topics including, but not limited to, the following:
• real weddings, elopements, engagements, union celebrations, vow renewals, etc.
• styled editorial shoots.
• short articles; 500-700 words are ideal, no more than 1,000.
• photo-based product submissions of wedding/event elements such as calligraphy, art, jewelry, stationery suites, dresses, etc.
HOW TO SUBMIT CONTENT
Submit below via the form. Our editorial board consist of creative professionals, so if you wish to collaborate with one of us to submit content for the magazine, check out our editorial board or if you want to collaborate with all of us, submit an inquiry here.
Since we’re 100% digital (for now), we decided to get rid of submission deadlines and post content as we receive it. Of course, do not try to submit a Valentine’s Day inspired shoot in July because we most likely will not publish it. If you’re wanting to submit a Halloween inspired shoot, it would be best to submit it at least 1-2 weeks prior. Use the holidays and other events as your own timeline.
We do our best to respond to all inquiries...just kidding. Since we’re a fairly new publication, expect a response within 48 hours. It will vary though since our editor in chief is a college student alongside being involved in other extracurricular activities.
